Inaugurated in 2017, the Hayground Heroes Residency is an education initiative that welcomes a group of students from the Hayground School for a residency at The Watermill Center. The students develop original works of theater based upon improvisation and inter-generational interviews. Their residency is used to develop material, choreograph movements, and rehearse their performance. The students, ages 11-13, stage the finished work with public performances at Peconic Landing in Greenport, NY and at The Watermill Center.

The Watermill Center’s Education Programs engage children as artists in their own right. Your gift will make a lasting impact on future artists, performers, researchers and students who come to The Watermill Center to learn and create.
