14th Annual Watermill Summer Benefit

Following the spectacular Grand Opening of the Watermill Center last summer, the 14th annual Watermill Center Summer Benefit will celebrate the first year of successful artists' residency programs at the center. The event will take place on Saturday, July 28, 2007, starting at 6 PM.
The evening's theme VOOM Zoo pays homage to Robert Wilson's recent series of video portraits of animals and provides the event's dress code, wild chic. The benefit will feature exciting performances and art installations inside the Watermill Center and on its extensive grounds.
The auction, hosted by star auctioneer Simon de Pury, will include art works by Marina Abramovic, Cecily Brown, Douglas Gordon, Jenny Holzer, Alex Katz, Anselm Kiefer, Sol Lewitt, Michal Rovner, David Salle, and Dana Schutz.
Confirmed honorary chairmen include Steve Buscemi, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Annie Leibovitz, David Lynch and Viktor & Rolf.
