The Watermill Center is pleased to announce an open rehearsal of a work-in-progress by the Center's inaugural artists-in-residence. The South Wing will rehearse their new translation of Terayama Shuji's 60s rock-and-roll film Death in the Fields (Denen ni Shisu), a coming-of-age tale about an adolescent run-away in WWII Japan as remembered by himself 20-years later in the 60s re-construction era.
The South Wing's will mount its premiere run of Death in Vacant Lot!at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council's Swing Space at 15 Nassau Street in Manhattan from October 4-14.
Watermill Summer Program alumni include Nixon Beltran, Ivana Catanese, Nazanin Fakoor, Mariano Marquez, Carlos Soto, Kameron Steele and Kali Vermes.
