Summer Program 2006
July 17 - August 15
In addition to the official opening of the building, Jean Paul Barbier-Mueller curated the Center's collection in collaboration with Robert Wilson. Eleven projects in development were workshopped with the participants spanning opera, public art projects, architectural interventions, and multi-media performance installations for realization across the Uniteds States, Europe and Asia.
To celebrate the Grand Opening of the Watermill Center, some of the most successful artists-in-residence from past programs were invited back to create interactive site-specific performances throughout the building and grounds. Following the summer program, three of these installations traveled to 60 Wall Street, Manhattan, where they were shown until the end of October.
