Giuseppe Frigeni is a director, choreographer, and visual designer who has also collaborated with Bob Wilson as co-director on video works and theater & opera productions. Frigeni will present a short historical overview of post-WWII music, with a focus on the Darmstadt School and the New York School, and the composers Morton Feldman, John Zorn, and Sacchico M. He will also be discussing trends in new music, from experimental structures such as reduction, saturation, and entropy to free improv.
