In Process @ The Watermill Center is our ongoing series of open rehearsals, workshops, artist talks and studio visits that invite the community to engage with the work of our international Artists-in-Residence. The Watermill Center invites audiences of all ages and backgrounds to gain unique insight into the creative process of artists, cultivating an understanding of how artists from across the globe develop new work.
Viewpoints is our year-round conversation series, granting artists and art enthusiasts the opportunity to gather and discuss creative themes vital to the contemporary moment. Hosted at both our East End campus and in NYC, Viewpoints engages with the community through intriguing dialogue, artist talks, and lectures that span across disciplines. Previous speakers have included Marina Abramovic, Hilton Als, Ron Athey, Philip Glass, Daniel Libeskind, Aja Monet, Nico Muhly, Robert O’Hara, Nadya Tolokonnikova, Carrie Mae Weems and Dr. Cornel West, among others.
Discover Watermill Day opens The Center’s ten acres for the public to freely explore site-specific installations and performances, providing a unique opportunity for the Hamptons community to meet artists from over 30 countries participating in The Watermill Center’s International Summer Program.
