The Watermill Center is pleased to announce a new partnership with Guild Hall to support work developed in its early stages as part of The Watermill Residency Program by giving them a proscenium theatre to present the final product.

CTown created THE MOMENTUM in residence at The Watermill Center in 2010. They went on to present the work as part of the 2010 New York International Fringe Festival (2010 FringeNYC Overall Excellence Award Winner), which extended to a full run at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in NYC, followed by a presentation in the Emerging America Festival in Boston, and finally receiving a nomination for a 2012 GLAAD Media Award. CTown was invited to return to the Watermill Residency Program this September to present THE MOMENTUM as part of this partnership with Guild Hall.

ABOUT THE MOMENTUM™®©
CTown is going to change your life when we fulfill our vibrational destinies together with THE MOMENTUM, a self-help-sploitation that asks: Unhappy? Listless? Broke? Alone? Depressed? Shoeless? Let its Laws of Attraction massage your vibrations and pull you into the Gaping Hole of Momentum. There, you’ll eventually learn it’s not what you don’t have that matters, but what you think you want to have but don’t yet and aren’t sure how to find and who even knows if what you want is what you need or if it’s obtainable but if it is there’s only one way to get it: THE MOMENTUM ™®©.

ABOUT CTOWN
CTown’s mission is to create ensemble-driven pieces of theater that defy expectations of how stories can be told in the theater; to maintain a consistent core ensemble which collaborates regularly with an ever-expanding community of artists; to create new plays that are relevant beyond traditional theater audiences. CTown creates with our unique ensemble devising process, asking artists to step outside individual, traditional roles in order to integrate different styles, opinions, emotions, backgrounds and philosophies into risky, humorous, and heartfelt new plays. CTown is currently in residence at The New Ohio Theatre and IRT as part of their Archive Alliance Residency where they are developing a new play, HELP ME TO MAKE IT, that will premiere in Spring 2014.
