Join The Watermill Center for a five-day escape to Cuba’s cultural and artistic epicenter – Havana. From December 2 – 7, 2016 enjoy exclusive access to studio visits, artist-orchestrated meals, dance and musical performances, private tours led by experts in the arts, business, politics and international affairs, and much more. During your stay, you will visit the studios of and interact with both well-known and up-and-coming Cuban artists, including Humberto Díaz, Rigoberto Mena, Esterio Segura Mora, and José Angel Toirac. Highlights of the trip include an intimate lunch and performances at Fábrica de Arte Cubano (FAC), a meeting place of the island’s top avant-garde artists, and dinner at Cuba’s most celebrated paladar, La Guarida. Discover Cuba before it changes forever.

The Watermill Center’s 2016 Cuba Patron Trip has been customized in collaboration with luxury tour operator Extraordinary Journeys and art critic and curator Sussette Martínez Montero, who has played a prominent role in the city’s famous biennales and knows everyone in the contemporary scene. The cost of the Cuba Patron Trip includes all accommodations, meals, ground transportation and entertainment. Funds raised support The Watermill Center’s year-round Artist Residency Program as well as a variety of educational programs for the surrounding Long Island community.
