Wild Sisters Plastic Holes

Shakespeare’s Wild Sisters, an emerging avant-garde performance group from Taiwan, create a site-specific outdoor performance at The Bridge golf course in Bridgehampton. The performance lasts approximately one hour, followed by an informal reception sponsored by Bob Rubin and Stephane Samuel.

Plastic Holes features ten members of the Shakespeare’s Wild Sisters group and ten artists participating in the Watermill Summer Program. Based on three poems by Nobel laureate Wislawa Szymborska, the work combines theater, dance, and poetry in an exploration of cross-cultural communication. The performance takes place outdoors, against the circular retaining wall of The Bridge’s clubhouse, for which architect Roger Ferris has garnered numerous awards. The audience is surrounded by the breathtaking, panoramic views of the bay that comprise The Bridge’s landscape.
