Works on Paper is an exhibition of watercolor paintings and prints by American artist William Stewart. While in residence at The Watermill Center from March 15 – 31, 2017, Stewart will develop a new mono-print series extending on ideas first explored while in residence with the Emily Harvey Foundation in Venice, Italy. Originally from Texas, and based in New Mexico, Stewart allows the new and unfamiliar landscape of Long Island’s East End to inform these new works. Although Stewart has painted with watercolor previously, this body of work marks a shift from the figurative to the abstract.

Works on Paper is curated by Noah Khoshbin and Daneyal Mahmood.
